Building donor relationships takes time. Donors need to be heard and acknowledged. We all have times when a donor relationship feels more on track than other times. Each relationship needs to be cultivated, and our work towards this end has much to teach us about patience, about slowing down, about perseverance. In this video, our colleague, Mark Shapiro, tells us how orchids became a reminder of these lessons. As the year comes to a close, and we are thinking of meaningful ways to thank our donors, we can all benefit from a reminder of why this is so very important.
