It’s a new year and like many of us, you are probably thinking about your goals. We know your organization is doing great work in service of your community. And perhaps you’re dreaming that you could be so much more. You want to shine in 2021, right? In our last 3 blogs, we discussed ways that you could embrace and take on a Culture of Philanthropy. We are thrilled at the response and enthusiasm the blogs generated!
Having a clear intention and strategy and taking specific actions consistent with a Culture of Philanthropy are the first steps in building the organization of your dreams; one with loyal donors committed to your cause, an organization with an expanding community that supports your cause, and one where board and staff members all understand (and are enthusiastic about) their role in supporting philanthropy.
Rainmaker Consulting’s new offering, SCULPT/The Choose Abundance curriculum,
is designed to get you there.
You need a team to participate in SCULPT. Your team must include: the executive director, the principal development person and a leadership board member. Additional board members, marketing staff, other development staff, and program staff are welcome to be a part of your cohort as well.
Why a team? Culture change takes more than one person making incremental change. The more individuals who are enrolled in your intended Culture of Philanthropy, the more effective you will be in achieving it.
SCULPT: The Choose Abundance curriculum is a seven-month course. We’ll guide you as you create your Culture of Philanthropy Implementation Plan and we’ll coach you as your team begins to apply your plan within your organization. In three ‘face-to-face’ intensives you will learn powerful concepts along with essential tools for building strong foundations in this work. Your learning will happen not only with your organizational colleagues but also with peers from across the country. Personalized monthly team coaching sessions will allow you to customize your plan for your organization’s unique needs.
Over time, you will see an amazing shift. You will see deeper donor engagement. You will be moved and inspired by the staff and board stepping into newly discovered paths to build a philanthropic environment. Plus, you’ll have the structures in place to continue on this journey after the course is complete.
